ALACHUA COUNTY CHARTER AMENDMENT 3 Title: Appointment and dissolution of the charter review commission Summary: Shall the Alachua County Charter be amended to provide that a charter review commission cannot be appointed earlier than 18 months prior to the general election at which amendments may be proposed and will automatically dissolve on the date of such general election. YES for approval _______ NO for rejection _______ Explanation: Currently, the charter does not set a maximum term length for CRC members. Also no ending date is set unless they submit items to the ballot. Amendment 3, if approved, will set a maximum term of 18 months ending on the date of the general election.
